went for the nbs orientation today, for the welcome ceremony.. which was pretty useless, except for the free gifts haha.. in fact got quite a bit of free gifts from filling up surveys today, got a free mac icecream, one pen, one water bottle, and one plastic bottle. Other than that, the talk was full of advertising, and when the real thing came on, there isnt anything I dont know about, waste of time.. then theres also the cca fair, and theres no vball club.. sucks.. maybe i will end up not joining any club after all.. have to wait n see..
 

my legs are very tired now, but im happy, why leh? cos I went ice-skating today, with my uoc mates. Think the last time to kallang really helps, cos now I can t-brake better le, thought im still yet to master it. And Im getting the hang of crossing my leg, but only the right la, still cant get my left leg across. One notable incident in the rink: There was a kid who fell and knocked his knee-cap i think, on the ice, n I helped support him to the chairs. I thought tt was the end of it, and i was really suprised when he bothered to come and find me after tt, and thanks me for helping him out. It was really a nice gesture, and courtesy by such a boy, when many others wouldnt have care less. Over the past week, I was fed up with the attitudes of some of my friends, which really makes me pissed off. I tried to help, but instead of getting gratitude, all I got was some f attitude, which I thought was really ridiculous. Anyway, shadnt bother to care about these ppl, nor be affected by what they said, just not worth it. Like what the lecturer, you can complain about a bad partner, but you had to be a good partner to others first. Life have to carry on with these ppl around you.
tmr is the 2years anniversary..dunno why I remembered it..but I jus cant forget it.. its time to move on..

today will be my first day of school, cos I yesterday pon, haha.. theres a welcome ceremony, but Im just not bothered to go for it, school is so far away lor. Later be meeting up with pakling, cos he in the same lecture grp as me, but really a pity, cos he everything same subject as me, but none same tutorial as me lo, sian.. now still cant anyone same class one. Anyway, I decided to take malay as a ge in the first sem. Initially wanted to take minor in sociology, but then the class full le, so no choice lo, but the malay timetable really sucks lo, 530pm t0 730pm on monday n wednesday, now i got a 5 hr break on wednesday, dunno what to do with it.
Anyway, went to heng swee hse for his bday last sat, 21st bday. think he wanted to cry liao when he gave his speech haha.. you heard tt andy? I guess the greatest happiness when you celebrate your bday, is when you have your family, and a big bunch of close friends to celebrate with you. When you have no one to celebrate with you, then you know you are a failure in life.
Gonna go to school soon, first day of school, a new beginning..wish me luck!

hey hey, one more week to ntu, im revitalised! think its due to the union camp, really had a lot of fun there! I just got my timetable too, excluding  the ge of course, so far my thurs n friday is empty, hehe..but saturday have to go back shrucks.. now trying to not get any more things on thurs n friday hehe,.rest days.. anyway, I have decided to take malay language as one of my ge, anyone want to join me hahha..? why i want to take this language leh? think maybe cos I think it will useful in application, after all second biggest race in spore is malay le, and we are surrounded by malays too, so it will be useful lor. then somemore half of my family is living in malaysia somemore, so wanna learn it lors.
yest went to work at show company, my friend call me up last min in the morning, so i just rushed there. all and all, it involves the setting up of a stage at indoor stadium, really tiring job, manual labour. first time i do this kind of job, previously all slack one, but anyway, working hours is long too, though they provide lunch n dinner, I worked from 10am to 1030pm, n its already considered early liao, they can sometime work till past 12 one, so dunno if i will go there work again.
tmr is heng swee bday, going to his house for bday party, n play ps2 haha..expect lots of challenger tmr haha.. then sunday will be my og outing, fast right? they all very onz ppl! monday will be starting school liao, enjoy ur weekend ppl!!!
 

This is a long passage about my time in the union camp, 120704 to 170704, take some time to read it.
 
First Day
 
            Met up with songlin in the morning, think it’s nearly 2 years since we saw each other, anyway, did I mention that he’s in my group? And I know it becos I saw his email address in the mailing list my agl yanxing send to everyone. Furthermore, my gl is my friend too, zhihui, so I already knew 2 people even before the camp starts.
            Upon reaching Boon Lay interchange, we went over to the mrt n gathered with the other members, n somehow its easy to introduce yourself n talked to other guys, cos we always had a common thing to talk about, army. All of us briefly introduced ourself, and I was happy that another girl Bain was in business, but shes the only one. Really need to get to know people from the same faculty, cos I didn’t go for the nbs camp. Anyway, saw shiyun there too, n she was one of the senior attached there as well. Went over to canteen A for lunch, n theres actually a macdonald there now, in place of the western food stall that I eaten from when I went for my medical. But I didn’t eat that, chosen the easy way out instead, chicken rice. Don’t you find that when you don’t know what to eat, its most convenient to chose chicken rice every time?
            I was quite worried about going to this camp initially, cos I wasn’t feeling that well, and I didn’t know if my stomach had recovered or not; its only 3days before that I had seen the doctor and caused my Malaysia trip to be cancelled, so I was praying that nothing goes wrong, if not I wont be able to enjoy myself.
            After lunch, we walked over to hall 12 comm hall, where other group gathered as well, and there we played one of those ice breaker games and learned some cheers. Down there, there was another sa, Adrain, who had a loud voice and was really expressive and communicate well with all of us. And guessed what he said his school was? Stamford Raffles JC, and we were like huh?? Take the initials and you know what he mean. He introduced a game whereby we had to say our name, and the name of people who said before us, and I was like oh shit..Im on the wrong side of the first person loh, have to do forfeit liao, but luckily we need to gather with other groups for some speeches, and that ended the game. Then theres this other game where you chose a animal action, and what you do is to show your own action then another person action, after which the other person will continue, and guess the most memorable action will have to be the slapping of hand on the floor by guanting, can you ppl guess whats that is? A cockroach. Then theres this other action Linda made, clapping of hands, referring to mosquito haha..
            The whole afternoon was spent playing the games, and after which we went over to put our things in the hostel room. The room is actually quite nice and spacious as well, and I thought that its really worth it cos in this camp, we got to stay 3 nights in the hostel rooms, and 2 at a sentosa chalet, unlike some camps that slept in the open. Anyway, I was allocated to a room with songlin, and theres nothing to complain about, cos hes someone I cheong sua before with. The rest of the afternoon was spent designing and painting our flag. Dinner was provided, and I only ate a small portion of it cos I’m still worried about my stomach, and didn’t really have appetite lo. After dinner we remained at the comm hall and learned the uoc combined cheer and dance. My partner for the first second segment was Bain, and the second was yanqing. Its actually quite fun learning this game, cos me n Bain was like eh..how huh, always going the wrong way, and think the thing we did best is the ending part of pointing fingers at each other haha..
After the dance segment its time for a walk around campus, or rather games around campus. One thing bad about the planning was that you actually spend most of the time walking around and waiting rather than playing the game itself. The first station was already like 30mins away lo, really far, and we reached a station where we had to walk through a drain that was really pitch dark, and we had only one candle with us, so we were like holding hands together and depending on the person in front for any steps that were ahead. At some points the drain was really getting low that you had to bend really low to walk, and we reached a pt where we had to climb the wall, and everyone was really cooperative, the guys helping the gals up. Anyway, our candles went out after just a short distance, but luckily the sa following us, junhao, had his hp with him, so we still got a bit of light to see. I was not really afraid in the drain, cos I trust that the programmers will have make sure of the safety in the programs they planned, besides, living in the forest is worse than this.
            After that station, we went over to the second station where we had to blind fold ourselves and slide down a slope of slippery water, and the sa were all like trying to scare us loh, saying things like you had to wait very long cos someone actually went down into the drain and broke his back or something..and I actually believed this! Kaoz..then just before jumping, they were like saying go down remember to trap water blah blah…I was like shit..I dunno how to swim leh..then they said nvm, just rem to shout so they can see where you are..kaoz..Im so stoopid..Im actually believed tt.  Anyway, this station was like waiting for an hour long lo, really sianz in the meantime, waiting till I wanted to sleep liao, and we were like got 5 stations to complete lo. And by this time I was already getting frustrated liao, cos the previous day I didn’t get enough sleep, really tired liao, wishing I hadn’t been in this camp but at home sleeping instead. The next station we need to blindfold again, and this time we were led up the stairs one by one, from there we stand on the edge, were slowly let down till we were slanted to a certain angle. From the little peeking from my blindfold, I can see mattress at the bottom, but it seems so far away, something like 1 storey high cos I was without my specs, but its too late to back out now, can only pray.. haha…when they let go, I was shouting out..n I was really surprised when I reached the mattress so fast, its supposed to be one storey high?!? Haha…think I scared myself in this instance ocs its only about 1m high lo. Anyway, after the jump came the good news that the program had been cut short, and we don’t have to do the remaining 2 stations..and its really a relief for me, I was shagged out liao.
            Supper that night was nasi lemak, but it was packed quite long ago I think, the chilli was already dried loh, and again I didn’t eat much, pandan rice n chilli is no good for a upset stomach. Finally got to sleep after a bath..3am already..zz…
 
 
 
Second day
 
            I actually woke up earlier than my alarm..wtf..but cannot helped it la, my biological clock already like that, cannot change one, never sleep beyond 8am. Anyway, breakfast was bread..argg…just like in the army, not tt its bad, but just eaten too much of it liao, they should have put the nasi lemak last night for breakfast instead.
            Hmm…what did I do for the second day???… cant really remember liao.. one thing I remembered is that zhihui talked to us, about how we  not really active as other groups n all.. and after that we were really high, cheering all the way and really having fun. Its really a wake up talk, and everyone was just so high.
            Think we did water games in the morning, that was before the talk by zhihui. Anyway, for this game, I was really sian, and embarrassed too, cos I cant swim, and im like the only guy there who cant lo. Sucks man…so in the end I only participate in games that don’t require me to swim, and those that was in shallow in water. Think on the whole its only 2 games I participated in, one of it is the kicking of a pingpong ball between the legs of a chair. The second one is walking together with wendy with a pingpong ball between mine and her mouth, and picking a letter out of the float. Think theres one more where we had to swim past 2 hoops, blew up a balloon, then again with a pingpong ball in bet out mouth again, cant really remember who partnered me for this one.
            After this we had lunch, and we wrote a postcard for out sp partners, who we know only by the nicknames given to us, I was the beast and shes the beauty. I didn’t know what to write actually, so I just wrote a simple ‘hope you are enjoying the camp so far, and see ya on sp nite’ something like this.. After this we proceeded with the campus games. Theres this one game where we wrapped a girl with toilet paper, and the whole group was supposed to protect her from water bombs thrown from above. We formed 2 layers of people, with the gals at the bottom and guys on top, and the guys took off their tshirt and cover on top, when the water bombs came down, its not as bad, its only when someone poured a pail down tt we thought its gonecase already, too much water, and when it finally ended, none of the toilet paper was left dried, but its fun la. After the station we grabbed zhihui and poured water on her, and shes as wet..haha.. Adrian got wet by us too while we were resting haha.. Another station was we had to squeeze all 22 of us into a bathing cubicle, and initially we thought of piling everyone on top of each other, but after a while the people at the bottom cannot take it anymore. After that, we just tried the conventional method of gals standing on top the shoulders of guys, and it actually worked, never seen so many people squeezing into a small cubicle before.
            When we went over to the other stations thats near an auditorium, people had convocation there..here I am still a freshie who had not start school yet.. kaoz.. Down there, theres this station where we had to bite a banana around the whole group, and the last person was supposed to eat it. After that its wan wan xiao man tou and a raisin next. Then the other station we had to get everyone into a marked square, and there are only supposed to have a certain number of legs, heads, butts, hands in it. Its was quite easy for this station, and after this we ran back to the hall so that we had time to change.
            We went over to the business block and some of us bought gifts for our sp, from a stall that zhihui manage. Anyway, shes was selling things for choc designs which really had some nice-looking gifts. I bought a hp holder which I think its nice, and practical as well. Didn’t understand why other guys want to buy things like earrings though, besides the earrings were cheap, and you don’t know whether the other side like the designs either, I rather buy something pratical. After that, we went over to a corner, and the sa talked to us..or rather its Adrain who talked to us the most, n there we talked about the traffic light, red means you are attached, amber means going to be attached, or going to break, while green means you are single. Theres only a few red light there, and most of us gone through relationships before. Then there was some whos relationship ended becos of the guys entering the army and didn’t have time for the girls. There, Adrain talked about how his name was pronounced as A-dri-an, n that he got Portuguese link in his blood. Then he talked about his 8 years long relationship he had last time and how it ended. It goes like this, this girl was actually a childhood friend of his, and their parents got along well with each other, and they started like in primary 4. But then she got leukemia and she left this world in dec1997, and that’s how the relationship ended..really sad ending..and her parents actually brought her ashes back to Canada, and he was real sad bout this..I thought he was really brave to talk about this, if it were me, I don’t think I will even finish talking about the story..
            Anyway, after this we watched the movie ju-on2…didn’t know why we had movie screening initially, but realized later that we had ghost night so its supposed to create atmosphere. So then again, think they showed the wrong movie, cos ju-on is a movie that sucks, and when everyone was tired, you can expect what most will do, sleep. The second movie they showed was into the mirror, and I wanted to watch this cos I heard its not a bad movie, but tiredness got the better of me, and I ended sleeping too.. By the time we got out of the leature theatre, all of us were zombies ourselves, and we were the last group to go for the walk loh, and im in the second last section to go for the walk. So by the time the walk started, I was already shaking cos of the cold, and shagged out till I cant be bothered liao. The first station was a dark staircase, and we walked down in stairs, think I walked with Kaiting down, and on the way down she said she kicked something. I knew theres definitely someone down there who will try to scare us, and its definitely the person whos kicked by her, so I just replied ‘kick harder’. Looking back, think Im being too sarcastic, and that the programmers was really ke lian, cos they made efforts to arrange the fright night. Anyway, after the stairs, we went to the bottom of a building, and there theres this girl who asked us to help her wear her slippers, so I just went forward and helped her. Then, she suddenly bend down and hold my hand’ ni pai mah, wei she mo ni na mo len’. I was expecting her to do things like this anyway, so I wasn’t really afraid or anything lo. In fact, my grp was laughing away at every actions by them. Most of the time, I was walking in front and talking the lead, cos Im the one whos not afraid at all..just got the cant-be-bothered attitude. From there, we walked over to different stations of ghost, and throughout it’s the girls who are scared and marked by the ghosts, cos they are more easily scared. I just wanted to get back to sleep.
            And ya, I received my sp postcard tonight, and was really feeling guilty when I see how much she wrote, cant imagine how much she will be disappointed when she saw my card..songlin sp actually wrote her number in the card, and he msg her tt night. Guanting letter was even longer, and its not even on a postcard, its on a piece of paper, think about 20lines long..
Slept at 2am this night..zz..         
 
 
 
Third Day
           
            Had a slight discussion about the talentime thingy, and we were deciding whether to do a skit, fish and xinyin was supposed to be the main character, and we were going to do things like famous scenes from the movies. Anyway, this was only the basic discussion, we didn’t had time to discuss anything further. For the morning, we went over to Chinatown for our games, amazing factor they called it, where we went over to different side of Chinatown for different challenges. We ate lao po bing at the first station, passing around the group and eating when we passed around, using our mouth of course to pass around. The second one, we had to finish 4 bowls of laksa as fast as possible, and my section ate slowest cos its was really hot. Actually the laksa taste quite nice, it’s the stall at the hawker outside og. Third station we went to a desert stall opp macdonalds, n we had to finish 4 bowls of desert like peanut paste, sesame paste etc, this time using the straw to feed each other, and of course, we cheated when the programmer was not looking. Fourth one we went to yu ren sheng for tea eggs, fifth one was the durian stall at the hawker side, really enjoyed the durian though I seldom eat it. Sixth one was the herbal tea, think we needed this anyway, after all the heaty things we had eaten. After this we took cabs down to esplanade for the next station, where we had to say I love you in 4 different languages, I was one of the couple saying the word, I said ti amo, think its Spanish or Italian, don’t really remember. Anyway, did I mention the programmer at this station was one of the cutest around. While we were at esplanade, we skipped the last game and went to have our lunch at thai express. As adrain put it, K grp always use our brain, and we wont be as stupid as skip our lunch to play game
            Anyway, for this game, we were paired up with each other, and qianni was my partner, and we actually had the same primary school, and I was asking what class was she..forgotten that shes 2 years younger than me. She stayed in bukit panjang too, and her alevels grade was actually same as me, taking the same subjects as me too, so coincidental.
            When we went back to ntu, we dressed up and prepared ourself for the sp nite, and when we went over to my sp group evos, we had so may forfeits to do that think we actually wasted around 1hr plus. The first forfeit was to jump like a monkey, then the second one was to do pumpings. Anyway, we couldn’t see the face of the girls, cos they were covering their faces with newspaper. After this, there were American idol, we are supposed to perform anything, and curtis went to sing the song by fir, I had to say that his voice was good. When it was my turn, I really dunno what I could do, so in the end I settled for singing the song miss you like crazy by moffatts. I know my voice sucks lah, so initially was booed, but eventually still passed the stage, think they saw my efforts la..was so relieved. Anyway, one thing to note was Im not really nervous as usual, most of the time when I had to present something in front of a group of people I will have stage fright, but not this time, think maybe cos the gals were still covering their faces, so could see any eyes at all. Think Im getting more confident of myself as I age. After this idol thing, we were supposed to chose which one was our sp, and I actually asked the first one ‘is your hair permed?’ hhaha..I know I can see, but I don’t know whats a permed hair la. So subsequently I use another clue in the postcard, so I started asking for the height, and after 4 sticky tapes on my hand, I finally got it right, Cynthia was my sp.
            After that, we actually went out as a group, together with her friends, cos they decided to stay together, so in the end, my sp seems more like the guy than the girl cos I talked to them more. Anyway, she liked the hp holder I gave her a lot, which was really good, cos she just liked everything tts associated with ducks, n its really coincidental tt I bought her tt.. I got a water bottle with 3 stripes, something practical too.Anywhere, there wasn’t really much to talk about my sp, so we went over to chinablack. This was my first time cheong-ing, every time when my army friends jio me go I also didn’t go, cos firstly I don’t think I will like the type of noisy atmosphere there, and secondly its expensive, Im not going to spend $50 to make myself unhappy. Anyway, I went in separately with my sp, then gather together with fellow kaleos. Not sure if I looked stupid dancing though, cos I just don’t have the talent for such things, but Im not going to let that hinder my night either, so I joined everyone else on the dance floor. In the end, I ended up with bruises on my sole, initially I thought that its due to the wrong type of shoe I wear for clubbing, but then again, it looked more like rashes, maybe Im allergic to some kind of alcohol? Hmm…anyway, I also dunno what I drunk that night, cos basically I didn’t know any of the names of the drinks, and my drinks were taken for me by the gals, they could take for free cos its ladies nite. So will I go cheong again? Maybe
            We left cb at around 130am, reaching back at around 2plus, and finally slept at 3am..
 
 
 
 
Fourth Day
           
            Checked out from the hostel rooms early in the morning, cos we be leaving for sentosa today. Anyway, was supposed to have war games, but due to the rain it was delayed slightly, so we set at the canteen to discuss our talentime performance while some of them went to take their halls keys. In the end we settled on doing some  kind of synchronized actions, and I showed them the jj clap, and they actually liked it, couldnt believed that jj clap was useful here, so proud haha..having the whole group learning jj clap. And from there, yanxing, hes from jj too, and me started teaching the rest of the grp, and we divided ourself into 3 differrent groups doing 3 different things, and then combining them together for the last part.
            War games was next, and we just got all muddy around, and theres a part where you drink a bowl of water, and tts actually vinegar! Even now when I thought of it I feel like puking, the taste just sucks, and cant imagine I actually drank a whole chunk of it..:P And after the games ended, we started getting all the gls into the mud, zhihui, sherwe, adrain, junhao etc..its was fun, and they were really sporting. Then there was the skII  treatment on the face haha..
            Went over to sentosa in the afternoon, and after putting the things in the chalet, we had a little bit of time to discuss our performance again. After trying out different actions, my section finally settled on the movement of bottles shown by qianni. Initially it looked quite hard, but after learning, its not that hard, and it looked really impressive when all of us did it together, and when you go faster n faster, it just looked better, and fun too!     
            We had to go over to the other side of the beach for our dinner n night activities, so some of us took the bus shuttle along the beach, and the rest including me walked initially, before we saw a lorry in front, and zhihui went over to ask whether we could hitch a ride, so the 10 plus of us was on the lorry, and we actually went past the first group hahha...
            After the dinner was the candlefight, the game was about using your candle to break the 3 strings at the opposite side, and defending yours too, you could blow out the candle of the opposition, and if anyone candles were blew out, they couldn’t defend or attack, and had to go to the refueling point to light their candles. We were really high on this one after we won the first match. We were one of the best teams around, and with me and karwing playing in defence, we were real good, and the girls playing in defence was very fast too, sniffing out any attacks. Karwing was really the star defender, cos he was so tall that no one could blow out his candle. The semi final we faced off with zyon again, and they were real good this time, the attack came in waves, and I faced off with jingfeng and weiyao. We almost couldn’t make it to the end when finally our attack managed to break all 3 of their strings, and we had only 1 string left intact. We made it to the finals, and the whole group was real proud of it, finally we did something haha.. we were already immersed in the game now, giving our best. The finals we faced off against evos, but we were in control of this match, we did not had any strings broken, except when midway through the second half, karwing was sent off, but I didn’t think that was justified though, he didn’t threw the water bomb at the opponent face. After that, it was only left with me and 2 other girls in defence, and we did really well, not allowing them any chance to break through. And when the final whistle came, we shouted with jubilation, we won!! And it was really fun, the players walking up the stairs one by one into the ‘walk of fame’ created by other members. Kaleos the champion!
            After the fight kaleos, Adrain treated us to 7 elevens, its really a nice gesture by him, and we slowly walked back to the chalet. At night we rehearsed till 2 am plus, where we had the combined rehearsal, and finally went back to sleep at around 3am. We had to share beds, 2 person on 1 bed, and mine was real hard, waking up to backaches.
 
 
 
Fifth Day
 
            The whole morning was spent moving our things to the other chalet, and playing beach games, and theres this other foc group at the beach too, and we went over to cheer in front of them, rivalry...hmm..but in the end just ended up 3 cheerings for each other.  The funniest moments came during lunch, when Adrain tried to cure his hipcups. After lunch was the beach games again, but I cant really remember which beach we were on. Anyway it’s the one where they got a bridge over to the other side, where they called it the southern most point of the asia continent. The place was quite nice actually, dunno why I didn’t notice it before though I watched it on tv before.
Anyway, after dinner, we went to prepare for our performances, and after a while the campfire started. First up was a performance by evos, and I didn’t think it was good anyway. Our performances was next, and at the end of the show I actually saw the other groups clapping, ours was the best performances. We had the pageants next, and after which the sp games, eating apples with our sp. After that was the performances by other group, which was putting me to sleep, not that theres no effort la, but skit just bored people to death. The last part of the programs was the cheerfight, we went through the first round, but lost out the the final 3, by this time we were already out of voice shouting.
            When it came to the announcement of the winning group, they actually gave it to us! Kaleo was the best group! It came somehow as a surprise, though we already knew we were one of the 2 contenders for the best group. We broke the traditions of Kaleos, cos over the past years, Kaleos were always contending for the bottom 2, and this time we were the best!
            Went back to the hostel after all the celebrations, and there, I started bbqing with yiwen, yanqing, eliza, songlin, karwing..hmm cant remember who else was there, but anyway, we actually bbq till 2 plus, before deciding to go upstairs to the balcony to play cards, and had a bit of drink. They said I was drunk when I was resting n leaning at the side, but I didn’t think I was leh, its just that I was just tired, and sleepy, its already 3plus am you know. Anyway, after the games, I wanted to bath, but the bags were just too far away, all the others were sleeping in the room. Songlin and me ended up sleeping on the balcony, n karwing joined us there too. 
           
 
 
Sixth Day
 
            In the morning we had our last photo formation, and the combined uoc cheer. The camp was officially over. We went over to harbourfront for our lunch at pastamania, and after that went home in 963 with yanxing, qianni, kaiting, and songlin, the bukit panjang gang. But before going in different ways, when we were outside pastamania, they were distributing the remaining tibits, and karwing and songlin just threw the grape biscuits into the bag grace was holding, and she actually didn’t notice it, it was hilarious, cant imagine her reaction when she saw it.
            So tts the end of my Uoc, definitely one of the best camps around! 
           

haven been blogging for some days..cos have been nursing my health..cannot eat this cannot eat that..sucks man..now feel better already but still weak..anyway, just here to say that I wont be blogging for the coming week, cos i be off to the student union camp in some hours time, and it will last for 6days.. dunno why they want it for so long also, got so many things to do meh?? anyway, I gotta sleep now, gdnitezz..

Im back..was quite tired now, but decided to blog first before sleeping, its still too early for bedtime.
Anyway, huixian, think if you book by travel agency its better leh, becos if you based on my price, its not balanced cos mine is the school holiday price, so if you based on the price given by the agency now, its gonna be $20 cheaper, so Im only $25 more than yours, plus all the frills. And also, if you had read my previous post, security at asia hotel is slack, so u have to watch out for your things, never leave your valubles in the room, and if you dont want the housecleaning to come into ur room, rem to leave the dnd sign outside.
Went for a swim this morning, but only ended up drink lots of water, sigh..I still cant swim. Anyway, I was only there to laze around cos I have nothing to do lor..sigh..sianz.. boredom..n fear of study also, 2 n a half years of blindly following orders, how am I going to activate my brain now? shit man...and all those talk about a thinking army..
Next week will be my student union camp, n now I dont feel like going already..feel so tired after the Thailand trip, plus Im going malaysia this wkend, argg..going to faint in sentosa liao..really wonder if it will be fun there, but certainly hope there will be more gals there, if not its going to end up like an army camp instead..$45 gone...
Now my stomach is rebelling again..really weak stomach..initially intending to go for a run tmr, but now have to reconsider le..

Third day
Woke up to the news that greece actually beat czech! kaoz...
Took the bts(their skytrain) to the pier, where Im meeting Si, and when we reached there, I discovered that I actually forgot to bring my hp out! So I stayed there while my dad went back to take it at the hotel, dangerous to leave valubles at the hotel cos the hotel security was really slack, they didnt even check when you asked for the key at the desk, they just gave it to you, so its like anyone can take the key. And the officer at the lift just welcome anyone , no checking either. Anyway, my friend came in a while, and after my dad reached, we proceeded to take the river boat, all the way to the grand palace. Its the place where the former king leave, and theres a emerald buddha inside, and they actually had 3 of the emerald buddha, for which they changed for every season. Anyway, we spent some time there before coming out for lunch in a nearby shop, afterwhich we went to Khao San rd, which is a world reowned backpackers road(tts what it said in the guide). Theres a lot of budget hotels there, and lots of foreigners there too, with the side stores catering for these tourists. After that, we took a cab over to somewhere near Bayoike tower for shopping, then over to world trade again. Up till now, the only things I bought were some soveniors.
Went back to the hotel to rest again. As you can see, we went back to the hotel almost every afternoon, becos it was just damm hot loh. Anyway, after which I meet Si again for dinner, and one of her best friend came along. Initially we were supposed to meet only Bee, but when we reached siam center, Si told me that chate be coming too! Then Chon came along too. hehe..tt makes my day, anyway the main reason for me wanting to come to Bangkok was just to meet my friends. So there we were, at sizzler eating and talking, n we took photos too. And ya, Chon was looking at the photos of me, eileen n tricia, and she mentioned tt Tricia has blossomed, more sexy haha...
That night I called up Kanokwan to meet her for dinner the next day, shes my secondary sch friend who came to Singapore to study at tt time. anyway, she told me that she actually saw me in the morning at the bts station, but didnt dare to call me cos she wasnt sure its me.
Fourth day, Saturday
This was a weekend, so of course we went down to chatuchak market via the bts. its actually quite convenient stay at asia hotel, becos the bts is just at the doorstep, sowe just took all the way down to mo chit station. Its really a big flea market down there, selling almost everything form shirts to plants to dogs to squirrels, fish, porcelain etc..but one bad pt was the weather, and since its a open air market, theres no aircon..thus the place felt like being in an oven. And when it reached lunchtime, we walked over to a nearby central plaza...and its not as near as what it seems on the map!..argg..think we walked half an hour or more leh..in the bizzling hot weather..ended up eating chicken rice there..after which we went back to the market again, this time we are smarter, we took a cab. But as again, we walked for only a while before retiring back to the hotel for our midday rest.
For dinner, kanokwan and her sis came over to the hotel to pick us up, and we went over to a restaurant in siam square for dinner. At least my dad can talk to her in chinese this time. Anyway, at the restaurant, they ordered quite a number of dishes..theres a papaya salad, tomyam, fried fish, fish cake tt taste like otah, pineapple rice, fried chicked wrapped in pandan leaves, and lastly a mango desert which have glutinous rice mixed with coconut rice. Among the 4 of us, think I ate the least haha..my appetite really small recently, cos I wont feel well if I ate too full. Anyway, she n her sis was really ke qi..keep picking up the dishes for my dad..uncle chi uncle chi.. anyway its nice to see her after such a long time.
Sunday
My uncle picked us up at the hotel, and brought us to safari world. Initially I was spcetical about going there, cos my thinking was that every zoo was pretty much the same, so whats the point of going there anyway. But when we reached there, I discovered tt they actually had an open zoo there, and they let the animals roam about..but of course they seperate the carnivores away. And when we go to the closed session, they brought out these 2 really cute tiger cubs for people to take photos with..and I was there cuddling them..so cute..but also so sad..seperated from so young. Then there was these other one tt slightly bigger, I caught this on photo, u can see it from the album. One of the main attraction there was the dolphin and beluga whale performance, n I wasnt really enjoying the show, cos all I saw was them being forced to act by man...thinking too much huh...went back to the hotel in the afternoon again, and for the night we spent it at mbk shopping.
Last day
our vehicle was at the hotel at 12, so with the little time in the morning, we went over to mbk to do some last min shopping, before coming back to the hotel to checked out. Bascialy tts the end of my trip, and am I glad to be back in Singapore, it seems much cooler here..and its back to reality...sigh...sch is nearing..

Bangkok Trip

Bangkok is damm hot!!! Basically anytime from 12 onwards, you will sweat if you are in the open air! And the hottest place have to be chatuchak, its bascially an oven there. Anyway, gonna write about my trip now, cos I dont have much time left: going kl on friday.
First Night
This was my second time to Thailand, the last time was the community trip in jc1, back in june2000. And this time, its only me and my dad, my mum couldnt make it cos she got to babysit. Anyway, our flight was at 1735hrs, so by the time I reach there its 2000hrs their time, one hour slower than ours. When we came out from the gate, the guide was there to receive us, and followed which we took a minibus to the hotel. There was nothing much to see that night becos its already dark, and by the time we done the checking in etc, its already 8, and when you didnt know the place you didnt dare to venture too far, and we ended up only at the 7eleven nearby, buy some tibits n drinks before returning to our room. The things are not any cheaper, in fact, the pringles I bought, the small size one, cost 350baht, which in Singapore would be around $1.50. Anyway, the night is not over, becos we watched portugal vs holland tt night, was happy that portugal won cos I support them!
Second day
Woke up quite early for the second day, cos we got a half day tour and were supposed to be at the lobby at 8am. Actually breakfast at the hotel was not bad at all, its a buffet, and they got quite a number of variety like buns, bread, noodles, ham, fruits etc. And guess what I picked in the end? Cornflakes n honeystars! haha...Cos didnt know what to eat, and also long time never eat them le. Anyway, for the halfday tour, they took us to the chao phraya river, where we took a long boat for a cruise along the river. The river was actually quite dirty, muddy water in fact, and you know why when the guide said the people living along the river use the water to do all type of business, and Im not refering to those on the floating market tt type, but rather those you and I did in the toilets. Anyway, we reached an area where they called it a mini floating market, the real one was 1hr plus area from Bangkok. Actually this mini floating market was just meant for tourists, and there was only a few sampans around, and on which were soveniors for the tourists. Anyway, we went to the first temple I saw there, the temple of dawn, or Wat Arun as they called it. Its one of the famous temple, think you would have saw it before on tv or paper. After the temple, we went to the gem factory. On paper, the half day city tour was free, but its not. The tour minibus was provided by them, so its compulsory that we had to go the the gem factory, but of course, its not complusory to buy any thing there. The things there are so ex. Anyway, by the time the tour ended, its around 1pm le, and from the factory, they would took us to anywhere we wanted to go, which was quite nice actually. We chosed MBK, cos its near to our hotel. And there, we ate at santa, a fast food restaurant. mbk was real big, and me and my dad only walked the first few floors before we decided to go back to the hotel to rest, we are just too tired.
My dad called up my biao-shu, or just uncle, who live there since 1992 for work. I didnt know that I got a relative living there till we decided to go there for the vacation. Anyway, he picked us up at the hotel and we went over to Chinatown for our dinner, where we ate at a road-side stores which was quite famous I supposed, judging by the poeple there. Anyway, in Bangkok, they had numerous of these road side stores around. Anyway, I ended up eating only the fried rice n the tom yam, cos all the others were seafood. one interesting thing there was the speed at which they cleared the plates, its like their life depends on it, its real fast! you could see a whole stretch of table ready in less than 10seconds. Anyway, we bought dog shit(pork) and dried durian there, the dried durian was quite nice, if you are going there, maybe can buy it and try, cos you cant find this in Spore. Anyway, after the hotel, we went over to the world trade center, but only walked a while cos its closing anyway, and the things there were not cheap either. I was expecting the things there to be real cheap loh, but its otherwise..unless you talk about those pasar malam stuffs, then its cheaper lah. In fact, Si(one of my Thal friend) actually asked me to help her buy Harrods bags over, becos its like 50% cheaper in Singapore, suprising right? And you thought Spore things were expensive. Anyway, we returned to the hotel soon after and I got a call from Si, saying Chon was in the area and she would come by the hotel to see me, so I waited in the lobby. And she was late becos she took the wrong bus(yes, shes a Thai)?!! Anyway, I thought she looked thinner, and besides for the tattoo on her arm, she didnt change much. Its 4 yrs since I last saw her, and though we do keep in contact regularly by email, it still feel strange seeing her again. So we just sat at the lobby area and chatted for an hour or so, and tts the end of the second day.

Im back!!! Actually Im quite tired now, been sleeping early the past weeks in thailand, cos basically was tired from all the walking, and theres nothing to do at night. Gonna update soon, sigh...n my whole template gone too..dunno why... gdnitezzz
