Had some time this morning, so spent part of it reading up on cameras, pretty much things that I do not know of.

Bracketing
Bracketing is a technique used to take a series of images of the same scene at a variety of different exposures that "bracket" the metered exposure (or manual exposure). Afterwhich you can combine the few photos together to make one with a higher dynamic range.

I "discovered" that my Lumix have this function available! And while fiddling with my Ixus just now, I realised it actually have an option to control the shutter speed up to 15 seconds! Sometimes it actually pays to read the manual -_-

I shall spend some time understanding the functions of my lumix before considering to buy a DSLR.

This is for Tiger Airways most recent promotion which ends tmr. If theres every a good time to travel, this is the year, because airfares have gone rock bottom at a time when filling capacity is more important than profitability. It irks me though, that I have booked my flight 2 months early, because you can get tickets cheaper than mine for the exact same flight. Then again, who could have predicted this?

Here are the full fares(including tax n surcharge), below prices are the lowest tier pricing that you can get, and it includes the credit card charge of $5 per way. What it excludes though, is the baggage allowance, which I have shown below the table. When comparing, do remember that Jetstar charges only $6 for online booking, as well as including 15kg free check in baggage.

Tiger Airways ridiculous baggage charges:
$15 for 10kg
$20 for 20kg (cheapest per kg)
$35 for 25kg
$70 for 30kg (penalising you for bringing a child in your luggage)

Phuket might be a good place to go to next.

Chinese New Year are finally here!!! I'm happy because I can finally take a respite from the heavy (and getting heavier) workload at work. Cheers to the Golden Week!!!

And I finally got this up,

A jigsaw puzzle made during my times in Old Faithful, together with Kris. Its was the activity of 2 old people during their leisure time. Somehow the lack of internet access is a good thing =)

i love this weather~! if only it feels like that in the daytime too.

I started writing this blog back in 2003, influenced by Tricia at that time. It was only in my uni days when blogging became mainstream, with a lot of my friends writing about their happenings online.

But as we came out to work, the frequent updates became once every week, once every month.. and slowly the blog went into oblivion like an abandoned child. Work takes up the majority of our time and attention, to an extent we become too preoccupied with it, and forget to live our lives.

Many are slowing slipping into routines unknowingly. Some realise this, but are unwilling to make any changes or progress. The world is so big, yet we are living in our own small world.

Just like what Kris said - We are living Today yet many decide to postpone their life till a later day.

Our lives can be in a standstill, but the clock will continue to click. If you realise this, then you should start living your life. Life is not about work. Life is about play. Play while you can, play while you want, play before you cannot play.

Start your life ppl, EnJoy~!

I was never interested in history, lamenting the need to memorise things which I'm never good at. Recent shows have reignited, or rather, stir my interest in things that happen long long time ago.

The first was Little Nyonya. I never knew where peranakan come from, till the show came up and Kris was telling me about it, prompting me to search wiki(its a great tool btw). Reading up on the history was also beneficial in my recent trip to Malacca, in understanding the place and appreciating the things.

The other show that I watched is Red Cliff. The act of borrowing arrows by Zhuge Liang from CaoCao was ficitonal, so was many other scenes in the show.

Anyway, the show is not bad, though some characters are even more invinsible than Superman.

I realised I have been prudent with my money, careful with how i spend. My only soft spot, is spending on my gf (because she is pricelesS), and my expenditure on travels.

Been pondering about getting a replacement earphone, because my current one started doing a peek a poo.. sometimes you can hear something, other times you cant. And I been looking around for a week now, from buying back my last cresyn earphone, to researching online for reviews on crossroads, philips, sennheiser, creative etc.. to make sure that I get the most value for my buck.

Doing away with impulse buying is a good thing, because how many times have you bought something that you actually don't need? Marketers and advertisers have been doing such a good job around the world, that people think they need this and that to be happier. My manager was thinking of buying a portable dvd player because of a sale today, and just one question from me to make her reconsider, "When will you use it?"

Likewise, eating out at more and more expensive restaurants is not a sustainable way to live. Some of my friends meet at restaurants at every gathering, its becoming an expensive habit which really makes this recession seems so minor. The restaurants they go to become more and more high end, and I have became a lone voice trying to curb that unnecessary spending.

There are so many loopholes in your daily spending that if you manage to control, you will not only become richer, but also more content. Once you stop desiring for new things, you will appreciate what you have more, and ironically, able to afford more things.
